Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is a registered charity, and part of a national partnership of 47 local trusts (totalling nearly 800,000 members) working to protect wildlife. Our mission is:
To use our strengths as the county’s premier nature conservation charity, working in partnership with others, to achieve a significant improvement to the state of wildlife in Derbyshire and to increase appreciation of the need for conservation.
We manage 40 nature reserves, keep a eye on hundreds of local wildlife sites, work for our members in facilitating walks and talks, provide volunteer places, publish green guides and books and engage a diverse audience from children to corporates.
